Creating Photoshop files from Adobe Premiere ProIf you have Adobe Photoshop 7 or later installed, then from Adobe Premiere Pro, you can create a new Photoshop file (PSD) with dimensions and a pixel aspect ratio equal to your project settings. Working with an optimized PSD file ensures that the image is properly formatted for DV. When you are finished working with the PSD file in Photoshop, just save and close it, and, depending on the preference you select, Adobe Premiere Pro automatically adds it to your project. Use the Edit Original command to move between the two programs as often as necessary to refine your PSD file. Adobe Premiere Pro sets up these optimized PSD files by launching a PSD template that matches your project settings. Default templates are included in the Adobe Premiere Pro/Document Templates folder. You can also create your own templates that match your commonly used project requirements.
