The Customize Display right-click menu displays when your cursor is over the blank area of a toolbar or a tab panel (not when the cursor is over a button). It also displays when the cursor is immediately above, below, or to the right of the command panel tabs: in these locations, the cursor changes to appear as a stack of two sheets of paper. In addition, the menu displays when the cursor is positioned at the right edge of the command panel when docked, or, when floating, at the right or left edge.
Use this menu to turn on and off the display of various user interface elements, customize the display of toolbars and the tab panel, and dock or float items such as the command panel.
The following options are displayed in all cases:
Customize—Displays the Customize User Interface dialog, which lets you add commands and macro scripts to the toolbars.
Command Panel—Toggles the command panel display. By default, this is displayed.
Tab Panel—Toggles the tab panel display. By default, this is not displayed.
Main Toolbar—Toggles the main toolbar. By default, this is displayed.
Axis Constraints—Toggles the Axis Constraints toolbar which has axis constraints and the Array flyout. By default, this is not displayed.
Layers—Toggles the Layers toolbar. By default, this is displayed.
Depending on your cursor location when you right-click, the menu can also display these options:
Dock—Docks the active item to the specified location: Top, Bottom, Left, or Right.
Note: For more information on docking toolbars, see Customizing the User Interface.
Float—Floats the active item.
Move to Tab Panel—This option is available only for toolbars. Creates a new tab on the tab panel for the active toolbar.
Convert to Toolbar—This option is only available for tab panels. Creates a new toolbar out of the tab panel.
