Quick Render Flyout

The Quick Render flyout lets you choose among these buttons:

The Quick Render buttons let you render the scene using the current production or draft render settings without displaying the Render Scene dialog. Choosing one of these buttons also changes which rendering settings are active in the Render Scene dialog.

By default, all the rendering options use the default scanline renderer. You can change the renderer assigned to Production, Draft, or ActiveShade by using the Current Renderers rollout in the Render Scene dialog.

When all kinds of rendering use the same renderer, Production and Draft are a good way to have two sets of rendering parameters. For example, the Draft settings might be low resolution, while Production settings are full-size output.

When Production and Draft settings use different renderers, you might want to have identical rendering parameters assigned to the two renderers. In this case, set up the parameters while Draft is active, switch to Production, and then click Copy Render Parameters. This copies parameters into the Production settings, so both parameter sets have the same settings.

Note: The only settings that are the same between Production and Draft are the Output Size preset buttons. You can have Production set to OmniMAX 360x360 and Draft set to Custom 320x240. However, if you change one of the buttons to a custom setting, such as Custom 1000x1200, that specific button will be identical for both the Production and Draft settings.
