Rendering menu > Render To Texture > Render to Textures dialog
Rendering to textures, or “texture baking,” is controlled by this dialog. Most of this dialog's controls are contained in its rollouts.
Rendering to Textures: General Settings Rollout
Rendering to Textures: Selected Object Settings Rollout
Rendering to Textures: Selected Element Unique Settings Rollout
To bake an object's texture:
There are a lot of options for rendering to textures. These are the basic overall steps.
Select the object.
Ideally, the object will have a texture assigned to it, or lights and shadows that fall on it, and so on.
Choose Rendering > Render To Texture.
In the same dialog, go to the Selected Object Settings rollout.
Click Add, and in the Add Texture Elements dialog, choose the elements you want to render.
Click Render.
The elements you chose to render are rendered to files, and the baked texture is displayed in shaded viewports.
Tip: On the General Settings rollout, you can use the drop-down list associated with Create Baked Materials to choose how the baked material is displayed in shaded viewports.
To bake the texture of multiple objects:
Set up the texture-baking parameters of each object you want to bake. This corresponds to steps 2 through 5 of the previous procedure.
In the General Settings rollout, Objects To Bake group, change Selected Objects to Whole Scene.
Click Render.
Textures are rendered for all the objects you previously set up.

Render—Renders the scene, or the elements listed in the Selected Object Settings rollout.
Update Last—Re-renders the elements for the object that was selected when you last clicked Render.
Close—Closes the dialog and saves any changes to settings you have made.
Cancel—Closes the dialog without saving changes to settings.
