Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB)

Virtual frame buffer displays a rendering.

The virtual frame buffer (VFB) is a separate dialog in which the software displays rendered output. 3ds max also displays still images in the virtual frame buffer when you choose the View File command from the File menu.

The virtual frame buffer window has controls to:

Enable/disable display of the red, green, and blue color channels.
Display the alpha channel.
Display only monochrome (gray scale).
Clear the image from the window.
Save the image to a file.
Create a clone of the virtual frame buffer (displays a new frame buffer window).
