Hi guys:
I need a spot of help. I’ve attached a graphic to
this note of which I’m working with. I’m using 3DS
Max 6. I’m trying to learn how to make my work look
more like photograph than that of a 3D picture. |

You're doing very well. What you're missing is good lighting.
I see some light coming from the overhead can lights on the ceiling (by
looking at the floor). If this was a real image the rest of the room
would be darker, or the stuff under the lights brighter. There's also no
colored light being cast onto other objects by the screens. Turn the
ambient light down and add more flood lights to simulate the reflected
light. There are settings so lights can effect only some objects, this
prevents these 'bounce' lights from messing up other lighting in the
room. This is a lot of work but achieves great looking results. |
